We didn’t start as a golf company.

We started in 2009 as a 30-minute regional golf show—sharing tips, reviewing equipment, and helping everyday golfers play better.

At our peak, we were reaching over 20 million households across 25+ states.

But even then, something stood out.

We weren’t just hearing from golfers who wanted more information…
We were hearing from golfers who felt stuck.

They were trying everything—lessons, videos, new clubs—and still struggling with the same issues:

• Inconsistent contact

• Loss of distance

• A swing that felt harder and harder to repeat

And at the same time, the way people consumed content was changing.

More golfers were moving online—looking for answers they could access anytime, anywhere.

So we saw an opportunity.

Not just to reach more golfers…

But to serve them better.

About 10 years ago, we leaned into that shift and began building our presence online—and that’s when things really started to click.

We started to see something clearly:

Most golfers weren’t being served.

Especially older golfers with slower swing speeds… the ones who were trying everything, but still struggling with contact, distance, and consistency.

So we leaned in.

We built our channel to serve them—and grew it to over 300,000 subscribers without spending a dollar on ads.

And from that, the Vertical Line Swing was born.

A simpler, more natural way to swing the club—built around what real golfers can actually do.

Why We Started

The Problem We Couldn’t Ignore

For years, we were teaching golfers who were doing everything “right”…

Watching videos. Taking lessons. Buying new clubs.

And still getting worse.

Not because they lacked effort—but because the information they were getting wasn’t built for them.

Most instruction today is based on a modern, rotational swing designed for elite players—people with speed, flexibility, and hours to practice.

That’s not reality for most golfers.

We saw the same struggles over and over:

• Inconsistency from swing to swing

• Frustration that kept building

So we created a different approach.

One that works with your body—not against it.

Why We Built Our Own Clubs

The more we taught, the more we realized:

Improvement isn’t just about the swing.

It’s about everything working together.

And too often, golfers were trying to improve with equipment that wasn’t built for them.

Even when golfers started to improve their swing…
their clubs were still working against them.

We were recommending clubs from the biggest names in golf—just like everyone else.

But the more we tested them with our students, the more we saw the same issue:

They weren’t built for the golfer we were trying to help.

Most clubs are designed around tour-level swing speeds and elite ball-striking.

Longer shafts. Lower lofts. Open faces.
All things that can make the game harder—not easier—for the everyday golfer.

So we had a decision to make.

Keep recommending clubs that didn’t fully fit our philosophy…
or build something better.

That’s when VLS Golf was born.

We partnered with top designers to create clubs specifically for the experienced golfer—clubs that prioritize:

• Better performance at moderate swing speeds
